I’ve been a reader for as far back as I can remember. The first book I remember reading on my own was some little board book about the Smurfs, and I still remember closing it with a sense of pride and satisfaction. It’s been about 40 years since then (35 if I’m being generous) and I’ve kind of never stopped.

  • The Silmarillion
  • The Harry Potter Series (Half Blood Prince is my favorite)
  • The Folk of The Air
  • The Vampire Chronicles (at least through Memnoch the Devil)

Random Stuff

  • I have 5 cats, two of which are special needs.
  • One of those cats is named Kaz. He is black, has thumbs, a limp, and isn’t fond of being touched. Yes, he’s a bastard.
  • My two oldest cats are named Edgar and Allan. Before you ask, I did have a Poe, but we lost him quite suddenly in 2021. He was an amazing boy, and left us far too soon. I’m still not over it.
  • Romeo and Michie round out the kitty lineup. Michie has cerebellar hypoplasia, and Romeo is just weird.
  • My birthday is on Halloween.
  • My Hogwarts House is Slytherin.
Me and my father, who I lost in 2021. It was a formative experience, and it’s shaped and changed my outlook on life in a lot of ways, even in regard to books.
